About FiveDiffs

FiveDiffs is a free daily spot-the-difference game. Each day brings an easy and a hard puzzle, and every past puzzle stays playable in the archive.

Where the pictures come from

Every puzzle starts from a real photograph licensed from Storyblocks. We don't use AI-generated images, and the differences are made with ordinary photo edits: changing a colour, removing or copying an object, flipping or enlarging something. No generative AI touches the pictures.

Fair puzzles

Each puzzle is checked by eye before it's scheduled. All five differences have to be visible on a phone screen, and none can hide in blur, shadow or compression. If you find a puzzle that feels unfair, it's a bug and we want to fix it.

Free to play

FiveDiffs is free and needs no account or email. It is paid for by a small number of ads shown above or below the puzzle, never on top of it or between rounds. See the privacy policy for how ad cookies work.
